YES2YOU Rewards Coming to an End!

Since 2014 when first introduced, YES2YOU Rewards has been a nice little added bonus to being a frequent Kohl’s Shopper, but soon Kohl’s will be replacing their Y2Y rewards program with a NEW program simply called “Kohl’s Rewards”.  With the new Kohl’s Reward program we can expect to see some perks like earning 10% Kohl’s Cash EVERYDAY on EVERY purchase with your Kohl’s charge card (5% without a Kohl’s charge)

Do not worry if you currently have YES2YOU Reward points, when this new rewards system rolls out, they will convert over to Kohl’s Cash automatically!

Now this is BIG! Kohl’s will be introducing FREE Standard Shipping EVERYDAY for Kohl’s Elite cardholders (spend $600 plus a year with your Kohl’s charge card).  Plus as an added bonus to being an Elite Cardholder, you will get early access to Black Friday sales and expedited customer service phone support when you need to call Kohl’s!

Meijer stores have made TWO BIG changes to their coupon policy! We have called corporate and confirmed.

You can only use TWO like coupons per transaction!

New Policy reads: “Customers may only use two identical coupons with the same UPC per transaction”.

NO MORE Competitor Coupons Accepted!

New Policy reads: “Meijer does not accept competitor coupons intended for redemption at other retailers”.

Yup, it is that time of year! Time for Starbucks ever so popular Halloween themed Frapp!  Rumor has it, this years drink on their “secret menu” from October 26th to October 31st will be the Zombie Frappuccino.

Starbucks has not “officially” announced this new spooky drink, but I expect they will be anytime now!

The secret mixture is rumored to consist of a Green Caramel Apple flavored powder, a pink powder (most likely sour?), pink “brains” whipped cream, and a pink mocha drizzle.

Chances are this will be as popular as the “Unicorn” drink we saw this Summer, so ingredients for this drink may run out fast! Of course call your local store to confirm they have this drink starting Thursday, October 26th before you head out to give it a try!

Campbells Spaghetti O’s Announced the following:

CAMDEN, NJ, November 12, 2015 “Campbell Soup Company is voluntarily recalling 14.2 ounce cans of SpaghettiOs Original due to a potential choking hazard posed by pieces of red plastic found in a small number of cans. This plastic material is from parts of the can lining which may peel off.

The affected 14.2 ounce SpaghettiOs Original product has a date of February 22, 2017 which is stamped on the base of the can, and a UPC code of 51000 22432 printed under the bar code.

The issue was identified after the company received consumer complaints.

This recall affects 355,000 cans and is limited to the United States.

This product should not be eaten. People who have bought the affected product should return it to the store where it was purchased for an exchange or full refund. For more information call 1-866-535-3774 between 9.00 am to 7.00 pm EST, Monday to Friday or visit  www.Facebook.com/SpaghettiOs. Campbell Soup Company apologizes for the inconvenience.

Oven Baked S’Mores

Summer is coming to an end but that doesn’t mean you have to put away that marshmallows and stop enjoying your favorite summertime treats!  Grab the Hershey bars, marshmallows, and graham crackers and get ready for a great treat your entire family is going to LOVE!!!!

Supplies

  • Cupcake Pan
  • Cupcake Liners

Ingredients

  • Crescent Rolls
  • Graham Crackers (1 package crushed)
  • Hershey Bars (2 full size bars)
  • Marshmallows
  • 1/2 Stick Butter (melted)

Directions

  1. Unroll crescents and place 3 rectangles of chocolate on the large end of the triangle.
  2. Place one marshmallow on top of the chocolate.
  3. Wrap crescent around chocolate and marshmallow making sure to seal all edges.
  4. Using pastry brush, cover crescent in melted butter.
  5. Roll butter covered crescent in crushed graham crackers until fully coated.
  6. Place in cupcake liner in cupcake pan and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
  7. Cool for 5 minutes and enjoy!1

If you are a little confused on how Saving Star works…Let me try and explain. Saving Star is a clipless coupon program. You become a member for FREE and it only takes a few minutes to set up. You then link your store loyalty cards to your Saving Star account. For example, In Wisconsin where I live, I put my Pick and Save loyalty card and my Piggly Wiggly loyalty card. Saving Star also has a receipt upload option for stores that do not offer loyalty cards (ex: Wal-Mart, Target, etc.).

Now, lets say Saving Star has a $1/1 Keebler Cracker coupon. I come to the Savings Star website, click I want that coupon, and it is automatically set up on my account. I go shopping to either Pick and Save or Piggly Wiggly, Buy a box of Keebler Crackers, and when I check out I WILL NOT see the dollar off savings right away on my transaction, but within about ten days, my store reports to Saving Star that I used that coupon. Saving Star then puts that $1 into my Saving Star account. Once I have gotten at least $5 into my Saving Star account, I can cash out that $5 and either have it put directly into my banking account, a paypal account, or even get an Amazon $5 credit. (It is up to me)

This is a Truckload sale, in my local city they come to our Menard’s Parking Lot! BUT WARNING… The Truck sells out as fast as it gets there! Sometimes within 15 Minutes. Usually in most cities it stops TWICE during the Summer. You can get a Box (about 25 pounds) of Georgia Peaches for $37.00 to $38.00 and a Box of Michigan Blueberries for about $17 to $18.50. Please Note, on their first trip through your city they do not always have blueberries, Those they do not have until around July 6th!

McDonalds getting rid of the Big Mac & Apple Pie? Is it TRUE?

mcdonalds rumorYou may have heard the RUMOR that in 2015 McDonalds will be getting rid of some of their items, including the Big Mac, Apple Pie, and Value Size options?

NO WORRIES folks, this is just a rumor that went viral!

This rumor was started on Friday, December 19th by a well known site called “Daily Buzz” (Do not believe much of anything that comes from this site) They showed a supposed tweet from the number one fast food chain McDonalds claiming ““It is with a heavy heart that we must announce that the Big Mac will no longer be apart of our menu. It is our sincerest apologies.” And from there you know the rest.

THE FACTS: IT is True that starting in January the chain will cut eight menu items and reduce the number of its Extra Value Meals as it attempts to overhaul its business model and better meet the needs of customers.
