20 Years Later…I can FINALLY Leave the House!
I know this is kind of a Taboo Topic, but I had to share this with all of you! I have literally suffered for 20 plus years when it is “That time of the Month” for me. Once I turned about 16, my menstrual cycle got so heavy, when it was that time, I could barely leave the house the 2nd and 3rd day of my cycle. No matter which SUPER PLUS Tampon I used (and yes I tried them all) I would flow through within a matter of a half hour, Even after my doctor put me on Birth Control to try and help manage it.
For 20 years, the only Tampon that would make it even bare able with a Maxi Pad on at the same time was Tampax Super Plus. (With these I could at least last an hour, sometimes two until I flowed through)
Recently (and yes, it was because I had a coupon for them and found a really good sale) I decided to try U Kotex. WHAT A DIFFERENCE. That is wonderful! I have always used the Kotex brand, cause nothing else worked for me. I also had the same problem. I still had to wear a pad just incase, but Kotex brand is the best. I no longer have periods, but I just want to suggest that you try Poise Urinary Incontinence pads also when you have a heavy flow. I found out later when going through menopause that these worked so well for heavy flow also & they fit & felt much more comfortable then any pad & I used the thin pads that comformed to your body. I received these as a sample & tried them with my period & bingo. I would never go back to a thicker pad again. Also the sample Underwear for Urinary Incontinence work great. I wore them at night & slept every night without a worry of bleeding on my sheets & into the mattress. They would work great for daytime also, because they are very comfortable. Try those also; I’m sure you will be leaving the house more often 🙂 I wish people would speak up about problems like this more. No one should be embarrased or afraid to talk about anything. Many others suffer from the same problems! Anyway; so happy for you! Yeh!!!!!!!!! :))))))))))))))))))))))

Poise are also a remarkable for those of us with this problem. There is a procedure suppose to be in and out of docs office but I recently had a spinal fusion and its looking like I may have to have something done to my knee also so another procedure is just not something Im ready for atm.
Two words for you that will change your life even more than the Kotex: Diva Cup. I resisted for years because I thought it would be just to gross. Turns out – not gross at all AND soooo much better than any tampon on the market. Give it a try – I’ll bet you won’t go back!
I have the same problem and KNOW UR PAIN. Its just so overwhelming and got much worst {which I did not think was possible after my daughter was born. I use the new ultra tampons with 2 of those overnites new age ones. Still sometimes overflow. Its INSANE.
