I have a coupon but is it a good deal?
Several stores in their sales ads like to add coupons to attract customers to the store. By adding the coupons it makes customers think they are getting a better deal then they would without the coupon. But that is not always the case.
I took this picture as an example. The store had a “Buy 1 Get 2 Free” coupon for pork chops in their ad. But when you get to the store the price for the 1 package that you have to pay for is $9.99 a POUND. Which is CRAZY to pay for pork chops! But when you use the coupon for the 3 one pound packages, it is still $3.33/pound.
So the best way not to be tricked by these marketing techniques is to know how much the regular price is for your area.
