Chicken Soup for the Soul: Finding My Faith
If you follow the Wisconsin Coupon Clippers page on Facebook you have probably noticed our “Quote of the Day”. All of those quotes that I have been sharing have come from the book “Chicken Soup for the Soul: Finding My Faith”. This book was just released in October 2012, and has 101 stories included. What I love the most about the CSS series is that you can pick it up and open the book to any of the stories and start reading, you don’t have to read it cover to cover for it to make sense .
As you probably noticed many of the chapters have Bible verses that started the chapters, and they were some of my favorite verses such as Jeremiah 29:11 and 1 Peter 5:7. All the different sections all start with “Finding Faith Through ___”. I typically would start my morning reading one of these stories then posting the quote to the Facebook Page. Sometimes I was amazed how the quotes related to me personally through out the day. It made me see some of the blessings that I might have otherwise missed if I hadn’t been looking for them.
All the stories relate to people who’s lives had been touched in one way or another because of faith and sometimes in spite of it.
This is one you don’t want to miss, some of the stories will stay with you long after you read the book. I know this one has several dog-eared corners so I can go back and read my favorites later.
