I was so excited to get the Angels Among Us edition of the “Chicken Soup for the Soul” series. I have always believed in angels and collect small glass angels. When I got this book I couldn’t wait to start reading. There are stories about people actually seeing angels and others about feeling the presence of angels guiding them in their lives. It is comforting to me to know that angels are there both protecting and watching over us. The Bible references angels in many places both as messengers and protectors.

I remember a time when I had recently gotten my license and was driving with my mother (who was in the passenger seat) on an extremely foggy morning. I couldn’t see past where the light from headlights reached because the fog was so thick. We were traveling on a highway between two cities and there were no cars on the road. For some reason I decided to switch lanes and drive in the left passing lane even though there was not any traffic. I drove for a few miles in that lane. All of a sudden in the right lane and shoulder of the highway was a large semi truck with a trailer that had over-turned. If I had I not been in the left lane, we would have hit the over-turned truck. I remember it very vividly 30 years later and believe that was my guardian angel protecting and guiding me on that day.

This book is filled with great stories that are much better than mine that give accounts of miracles and answered prayers. If you follow our Facebook Page (Wisconsin Coupon Clippers) you may have seen this as the quote of the day but it is also one of my favorite from the book:
